Refresher Course is In-Person & Located in Dallas, Texas
Cost: $200
Date: March 7th 10:00am-6:30pm
This 8 hour in-person training will count as CEU’s for your Texas licensure and EMDR credits. Participants will learn through various teaching styles including role-play demonstrations and small group exercises. This training does NOT count towards the basic training or certification of EMDR. This training is only intended to refresh your EMDR skills.
Curriculum: EMDR Refresher with Advanced Topics
Module 1: Foundations and Updates in EMDR
Quick Review of EMDR Basics
Eight-phase treatment approach.
Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model.
Module 2: Complex Case Management
Decision-Making in Challenging Situations
Working with self-harm behaviors.
Addressing suicidality within the EMDR framework.
Addiction: Identifying underlying trauma and applying specialized protocols.
Ethical Considerations and Safety Planning
When to pause or modify EMDR.
Coordination with other professionals (e.g., psychiatrists).
Module 3: Application of New Protocols
Introduction to New Protocols and Advances
EMDR 2.0: Enhanced processing for complex and severe cases.
Flash Technique: Application in clients with low distress tolerance.
R-TEP (Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol): Early intervention for trauma.
DeTUR (Desensitization of Triggers and Urge Reprocessing): Addiction and compulsive behavior protocol.
Module 4: Case Consultation and Peer Collaboration
