About Jen
My journey has been a rollercoaster…
From battling substance abuse, to being in recovery from a personality disorder, and eventually ending up as a counselor… this journey helped me realize how hard it is to find help. Especially empathetic and knowledgeable help. I quickly realized that most therapists lacked the training and confidence to see clients with personality disorders and addictions. This left my family and me feeling isolated, hopeless, and fearful that I would never find help.
I needed someone that I could connect to and my family needed someone to guide them through the referral loop they were stuck in. This is why I started the journey of consulting and educating the families and professionals supporting those with addiction and personality disorders. I became the therapist that I wish I had.
I fought hard to learn all I could about personality disorders and addiction. During my journey, I have worked in transitional living, treatment centers, non-profits, and private practices. I am currently working on my PhD in psychology with a focus on addiction. I have been mentored by amazing leaders in the field and worked with the most amazing clients. This has given me a broad and powerful understanding of the intricacies of these disorders and how they affect families.
My mission is to provide hope for those affected by personality disorders and addiction. I am known for breaking down complicated and overwhelming information in a manageable and palpable way. I have seen almost everything during my tenure and jump into things when other professionals jump out.
